“We’ll still need people, but robots . . . .” from a New York Times article about robots in the Czech Republic.  With 100 robots per 10,000 workers, Czechs are installing more all the time, trying catch up with Germany, which is not standing still at 300.

If you look very carefully at this video of the Ocado robot installation in their order assembly warehouse, you will see 2 humans overseeing the operation of 1,000 robots.

Workers freed up for more productive activities?  Or, more leisure time?  Or, neo-Luddism?
